WSI recently replicated the
DAF CF 85 Space Cab Flatbed Truck with
Palfinger PK 78002 Knuckleboom Crane and
Jumbo Extendable Flatbed Trailer with Container Loads

in honor of Alb. Swijnenburg,
a reliable distribution partner throughout Europe.

Item number: 01-1292
Four components make up this 1/50 scale SET:

• The flatbed truck
• An extendable trailer
• And 2 container loads
One of the outstanding features of
the flatbed truck is the Palfinger PK
 78002 Knuckleboom crane, which
easily rotates a full 360 degrees when
it is extended upward to clear the
back of the cab.

For an impressive display pose,
fully extend the crane and attach
the jib. Be sure to extend the
outriggers and attach the outrigger
pads for stability.
The cab of the truck has a lot of intricate details including:

• Dual mirrors on both doors
• Headlights and caution lights with
   plastic lenses
• Painted license plate
• And a DAF graphic on the grill

Also, the interior of the cab features realistic:

• Seats
• Steering wheel
• Dash
• And middle console
The cab tilts forward to reveal some spectacular engine details including the Paccar graphic on the engine.
There are multiple storage boxes on both sides of the truck located underneath
the driver's side of the cab and the flatbed.  There are even a couple of "Y"
shaped storage boxes between the rear wheels.
With the crane in transportation mode, this portion of the model measures
8.625 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.

The free-rolling wheels have red and yellow hub detailing with realistic tread
on the tires. If you look closely, you can see that the drive wheels have
different hubs than the non-drive wheels.

The chassis has been impressively replicated with two forward axles and one rear steering axle.  In addition, it has a rear drive axle with a clearly distinguished drive line and differential.

Next is the "Jumbo" extendable trailer which expands for larger loads in two
separate places, one in the middle and the other at the end.

With the trailer completely extended, it measures 9.25 inches long,
2 inches wide, and .875 inches tall.
A  European permanent fifth wheel with a pin hitch, along with nicely modeled
coiled air hoses and electrical lines, can be seen on the flatbed trailer's chassis.
Also notice the twin rear axles with floating suspensions along with red/yellow
detailed hubs and realistic tire tread.

The very tail-end of the trailer features taillights with plastic lenses,
a license plate, and mud flaps.

With the containers removed
(which we will discuss in a moment),
you can easily see the realistic details
of the wood grain.

Load stabilizing rods for the flatbed
and trailer are included and can be
used with any load you choose.

Last, but certainly not least,
let's check out the diecast metal containers. These containers stand out
from others with their authentic
Alb. Swijnenburg graphics on both
sides of the ridged containers along
with nice cast detailing on the sides and doors, including silver painted latches.

Each of these containers measures 4.75 inches long, 1.875 inches wide,
and 2 inches tall.
With all of the components showcased together this impressive model measures 15.25 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.
