From Universal Hobbies' line of 1/16 scale tractors, this is the 1956 Renault D22 Tractor.

Item #4258 has an impressive level of detail within its diecast metal and plastic features.
Let's start at the front of the tractor to take a close-up look at this model.

First, it has a nicely detailed diecast metal grill, along with plastic headlights and front fender.
Universal Hobbies has also done a nice job of replicating the operator's area including: an authentic seat, dash, and gear shifts.

It even has a working steering wheel which turns the front wheels.
The hood opens to show off the exquisitely detailed engine including piping, cabling, and batteries.
The wheels have authentic hub detailing, along with realistic tread on the tires.

The rear fenders are made of diecast metal with a plastic buddy seat on the left fender.
The rear of the tractor has reflectors that fold up for farm use and down for road use.

In addition, it has one rear tail light for added authenticity when it is posed in transportation mode.

If you would like to pose the D22 with an implement, it has a pin hitch along with a movable 3-point hitch.
The tractor measures 7 5/8 inches long from the tip of the front bumper to the back of the 3-point hitch.  It is 4 inches wide from wheel to wheel and 3 1/2 inches tall to the tip of the buddy seat.

This model is securly packaged in a styrofoam shell, along with extra ties to keep it secure during shipping.
Join us again next week when we explore the features of another exciting model.
