This is the Caterpillar 450E Backhoe Loader from Norscot, model number 55263.  It has been excellently manufactured in 1/87 scale.
Don't be fooled by this model's size, it packs quite a punch.

It is made mostly of diecast metal, with a few plastic parts. It also has moving rubber wheels with authentic tire tread.
Both the front loader and backhoe have working hydraulics that are stiff enough to pose in any position. The shovel and bucket both tilt as well.

The backhoe loader also pivots almost a full 180 degrees.

Here you can see the hinge on which the backhoe loader arm pivots.

There is also a stabilizer on either side with working hydraulics that folds up easily when you're on the move.

The operator's cab is very nicely detailed. It features a control panel with realistic buttons, gauges and gears. The seat even sports the CAT logo on the head rest.
This exceptional model is perfect for completing your HO train layout. It is also small enough to easily keep on your desk so you are never far from your layout!
