Norscot has done an exceptional job at replicating the Caterpillar CT660 Dump Truck in 1/50 scale.

Item #55290 measures 6.75 inches long,
2.5 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.  It is a great size to display on your desk
or even on a shelf.

The CT660 is made mostly of diecast metal with only a few plastic parts.

The cab has clear windows to easily
view the detailed interior which has several nice features including: realistic bucket seats with the CAT logo, a detailed dash, and a nicely modeled steering wheel.

The front of the dump truck features the
CAT logo on the grill and on the sides
of the hood.

The hood opens to easily view the CAT CT13 engine and CX31 transmission.

Looking at the very front of the engine, you can also see the detailed radiator.

This model has several chrome-like details including: the front bumper, wheel
hubs, exhaust pipes, and steps...
to name just a few.

How many more chrome details
 can you find?

The tractor has front wheel steering, and the tires have realistic tire tread.

If you look closely, you can see the drive wheels have a different type of hub detailing than the non-drive wheels.
The dump bed has an adjustable cover that can be posed in many positions.

How about adding a load of gravel and have the cover pulled over it?

Or if you have it sitting on your desk, why not use it to hold rubber bands, paper clips, or even business cards?

The tail-end of the dump bed has some nice features like the rubber mud flaps with the CAT logo on them.

There is also diecast detailing in the back gate and on the sides of the dump bed.

Another great feature of the dump truck
is the tilting dump bed with an
opening back gate.

In this position, it would look great in an "O" scale layout unloading its cargo.

With so many great features, there are several different ways you could
pose this model.

How would you pose it?
