NZG has done a wonderful job at replicating the Wirtgen W 250i Cold Milling Machine in 1/50 scale. It  is constructed of mostly diecast metal with only a few plastic parts. Item #872 measures 13.5 inches long, 3 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide.

This model has several great features including an opening hood to reveal the the dual engines, silencer boxes, and exhaust lines.

The operator's compartment is nicely detailed with seats on each side of the compartment, dual controls, and a centrally located display console.
Another great feature is the opening side doors that reveal the main drive belt to the milling cutter drum.
How about showcasing this model in transportation mode?  The operator's compartment canapy and the conveyor frame both fold up for easy transportation.
Looking underneath at this model's chassis, you can see the milling drum that has highlighted tipped picks, the functioning rear scraper, and the adjustable side plates.  You can also see the steerable and height adjustable dual tracks.  The tracks are also individually linked and are highlighted yellow for a realistic look.
The rear of the model is detailed with nicely modeled grill slots, dual exhaust pipes,
a rear safety mirror, and an amber warning beacon.
On both the back and sides of the model, it is decked out with authentic Wirtgen graphics and orange stripes.
With so many great features, this model would look great in any layout
or just simply showcased on a shelf.

Join us again next week when we explore the features of another exciting model!
